Hands down the best thing about elopements (ok second best, to it being flip off romantic) is the places you can go. Those tiny hidden spaces, the top of your favorite mountain, that private gallery, the waterfall at Kaapsehoop!

Once a year Runaway Romance teams up with a special bunch of suppliers & creates an inspiration shoot. (Don’t you mean styled shoot you may ask? No.. styled shoot for me has started to feel like pouty models & fake love…bllehhh. An inspiration shoot is a day we put together, in the exact same way we would FOR a real-life couple, WITH a real-life couple, just we didn’t take the days brief from them, we let our own creative wedding imagination loose)

Last year we did the beautiful Bottle brush shoot. This year we created this Kaapsehoop Wild horses & Waterfalls elopement. This celebration was featured in the 2017 Spring edition of Wedding Inspirations Magazine (which was an extra special cherry on top for us) For all the nitty gritty inspo & story behind the day, please go have a squiz at the article, as it’s written by us & full of all the details!

To say I’m in love with the live rose bush roots, fern plants & green velvet touches in this ‘outdoor’ change room & sophisticated picnic reception table is an understatement. We also ditched the cake for a easy to take away ‘egg box cupcake stand’. Simple but stunning.

The ceremony at the waterfall held an energy & magnitude to it that I haven’t witnessed before…but enough with my descriptions…come see for yourself!

Much love

The very cool team (if I dont say so myself) who put this elopement together:

Photography – Megan Ann Photography | Hair & Make up – Courtney Chadwick  | Dress designer & Bridal accessories – Nupt bridal | Stationery – Liefling Kind | Flowers, décor & coordination – Runaway Romance | Venue & Accommodation – The town of Kaapsehoop

(PS if you decide to visit this incredible waterfall, please be a semi good human & get the right permits & permission from the town BEFORE you go. Also, be gentle on it & the surrounds so others can enjoy it too)

This is soooo beautiful! Can you help my fiance and I do something very similar in the same location?
