“There is nothing you can promise me today that you haven’t already shown me…”

These few words from Yu-Shan’s vows blew me away. Not only are they intensely beautiful, but so incredibly true to how I think these two love each other… They love with their actions not their words.

This was why it was so important to them to experience their day in a way that let them focus on each other, took away any potential external stress & let them go exactly where they wanted to. No pressure, no stress.

Their morning started with a beach walk & lazy brunch which then spilled into them getting ready in a cute little beach house up the road. As Yu-Shan got her make up done, Serafim read his book with a beer.

I set up their dinner table for two while their private chef prepared their feast. A salt runner, handmade shell candles, poppy pods & the most incredible deep red roses, Cymbidium orchids & carnations made up a few of the subtle ‘sea side’ treasures.

The two met in front of the seal point lighthouse in St Francis bay, were married in a beautiful ceremony that finished with their signing and enjoying Gin & Tonics & tasty canapes in the old lighthouse tower. Once they had explored the came back home to a fresh sea food feast.

Their night finished in front of a fire in a very similar way to how it started…calmly, with both of them fully present in the moment, showing their love.

Later on in the month these two had an ‘engagement party’ back in Joburg where they announced they were actually already married & shared some of their special pics & memories from their day!

With all my heart I thank you both for allowing me to plan & witness the day you made your (already very real) marriage official.
