As is common at the moment, Aliscia and Deon had to cancel their big wedding plans thanks to Covid. They opted to rather have an intimate wedding with their parents and siblings (with a month’s notice). They loved Silvia and Alex’s elopement that we did with Megan Ann Photography at the end of 2020 and you don’t have to ask twice to us to Kaapsehoop!
We were lucky to have a beautiful day with clear skies and sunshine. We walked around town in the morning looking for the perfect ceremony spot and they fell in love with the old chapel in town and we were fortunate enough to be allowed to use it at literally the last minute (thanks Sonja and the Silver Mist team!).
After the ceremony, the couple explored the town and surrounds with Megan, taking some gorgeous photos and laughing all the way. Aliscia is probably one of the happiest brides I’ve worked with – she laughed and smiled non stop and enjoyed herself so much from beginning to end.
Guests enjoyed another gourmet platter dinner made and served by Heidi and Sandra at Green Venus Guesthouse. The mom’s and sisters got together and decorated the table with all sorts of little personal touches and guest gifts, to add to our flowers. And who says that you don’t get to do all the traditional things like the garter and bouquet toss, first dance and cutting the cake?
Alisica & Deon, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of this magical day! It was so much fun to work with you.
