Two weeks before their wedding there was a predicted heat wave… 2 days before their wedding a cold front pushed through which caused near constant rain. On top of having to change most (ok all) of our setup plans the day before, Anne-Belle was really ill the week leading up to their wedding… With all this going on you would expect Anna-Belle and Craig to be a crazy horrible version of Bride & Groom–zilla right?
Their response to all the crazy… “All this extra stress before is going to make our wedding day even better. The important thing is that we are getting married”
From our first planning meeting to the very last minute they walked out the door at the end of the night this wedding was grounded in Anna-Belle and Craig’s love for each other, their family and friends and a heck load of laughs.
That they are naturally photogenic, have the best style ever, chose a historic Johannesburg building as their venue and opted for Art photography wedding photos over usual wedding pics was just an added bonus!
Anna-Belle and Craig’s decor pallet was a range of greens, coppers and dusty pinks brought in beautifully with all the Proteas and Fynbos. A subtle mix of old and new elements throughout the décor paid tribute to the beautiful old building whilst celebrating all the newness a wedding brings.
All three courses of their incredible lunch were served from The Bedford Gastro Truck. The food truck experience mixed with the informal seating topped off the relaxed and inclusive feel of their day perfectly.
Anna-Belle’s dress is exactly her. Bold, modern, feminine and incredibly playful with just the right dash of sexy! Her ‘hanging’ bouquet was a mix of dried seed pods, wild grasses and fynbos finished off with a long copper ribbon.
Come rain or shine this wedding was destined to be one of the most amazing days ever! Anna-Belle and Craig thank you for being some of the most trusting, creatively courageous and loving couples I’ve worked with.
You respect and support each other in such a beautiful way and I cannot wish you enough happiness in your life together!
P.S if you would like to check out Anna-Belle’s take on their wedding day please go have a look at her amazing blog She Said. We also got a little feature there (I type this as I beam with pride and do a mini happy dance)
