If you ever wanted an elopement that inspires you to make the most of everything South Africa has to offer as a wedding/honeymoon destination, then Laura and Dan’s riverside celebration is it.
They made their way down the Garden Route (stopping at many a golf course along the way) to Emily Moon River Lodge where they celebrated their African ‘I Do’s’ alongside the Bitou River surrounded by bright floral pops and the Plett natural forest.
Their morning started with a lazy breakfast, that spilled over to drinks by the pool. They got ready together before we sent Dan ahead to the ceremony spot, to allow Laura to dress and still give him that WOW moment as she walked down the aisle as his bride.
Their elopement ceremony was lovingly tailored to them, by Tzili, who brought in beautiful stories, symbolic gestures and just a touch of important family history and culture.
They ended their day with a private dinner in their room, watching the sunset. Every moment and memory was lovingly captured by Charlie Ray Photography. Thank you for this.
This was a day and celebration with nonstop smiles, laughs and fun. Laura and Dan, your love, incredibly happy energy and willingness to be a little wild and adventure just a little further, were an amazing thing to be a part of. Thank you for bringing us along on this wedding planning adventure. (and I’m so sorry Ruby couldn’t be there in ‘person’ but adored the socks dedicated to her)
