Franschhoek vineyard elopement

Megan & Raymond decided that they didn’t want a big wedding. They wanted their wedding to be a special day that was about them and their commitment to each other and not about keeping everyone else happy. Exactly what we stand for! They got engaged at Rickety Bridge in Franschhoek and wanted to get married in the area as well.

They chose the beautiful Fransvliet Guest House (owned and run by the talented Shirley Guy and her husband Joe) as the venue for their elopement and said their I Do’s and exchange their own heart-warming vows in the garden of the main house, with vineyards and mountains behind them. Their immediate family was there to witness and share in this special day.

After some delicious canapes and Rickety Bridge bubbly Megan & Raymond went off for their shoot, making the most of all the gorgeous spots around the property – I love it when the photographers (Selma & Andre from Expressions Photography) arrive early and scout out the WHOLE area, making sure they got the best pics and made sure Megan & Raymond had fun!

This was one of those weddings where everyone was so relaxed and took it easy for most of the day, swimming, going wine tasting and spending quality time together – it also helps that the sun only sets at 8:00 in December, making the days super long.

Megan & Raymond, you guys were such a pleasure to work with and I really enjoyed the time we spent together, from beginning to end. I am sure you guys are going to continue having fun and a lot of laughs together, and that’s what makes a relationship like yours so special!
