Sometimes you just have to do what you want and what makes you happy. As Tami says, “we’re no drama-llamas” and that’s exactly what they got when they eloped to Knysna… NO DRAMA!
Tami & Shane are a couple that have a great time together. They laughed through most of it and really looked like they were having a great time. And isn’t that the point of eloping with your love?
Tami & Shane decided to work their wedding into their Christmas holiday on the Garden Route. The brief was, no traditional wedding things like a white dress, traditional bouquet and definitely not a typical wedding venue. They liked the idea of a forest… and well, Knysna is all about forests!
We found a shady, secluded clearing in the forest (it was a bit of a hike to get there) at Peace of Eden, added some small touches to make it even prettier and we were good to go!
After exchanging vows and promising forever to each other, they celebrated with bubbly and the most delicious (not so) mini carrot cake.
They spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the grounds, making the most of the gorgeous light and setting. As with most Runaway Romance weddings, they shared some of the shots with one of the resident cats. That evening, they shared a romantic dinner at their historic guesthouse, Falcons View Manor.
Tami & Shane, I loved working with you guys and especially doing non-wedding things. It was such a fun day and I just love your energy together, it’s contagious! Wishing you lots of love, happiness and many more laughs!
