It’s an amazing thing to see how different couples bring their hearts and souls to their wedding celebrations, to truly make it ‘theirs’. For Raine and Ernst it was all about the feeling.

How the space, air and open bush made them feel back home. How their guests would feel about the million little details thought out just for them. How they would feel as they became husband and wife under an ancient old fig tree, connected to the moment by everyone who sat there not only watching but participating in their ceremony.

Although this wedding is a visual feast of African and Dutch inspired design, quirky elements and amalgamations, it is one of the very special wedding days that put the heart of marriage above all.

It was a privilege and delight to be part of this day connecting family and friends from around the world (but mostly Holland and South Africa) to this couple’s story. From the Friday night game drive and dinner in a cave, to the open air boma reception, this celebration was magic.

“everything you see has its roots in the unseen world. The forms may change, yet the essence remains the same” – Rumi – Raine and Ernst thank you for allowing us to see and feel the essence that is you guys.

Much love
